1st Annual Cooper's Lake BrewersFest 2009
The 1st Annual Cooper's Lake BrewersFest 2009 was a success. We had over 20 brewers and 100 campers. Porter House Brew Shop was onsite with brewing information, supplies and samples. BrewersFest participants brewed beer, shared brewing techniques and sampled each other's homebrews. Participants tasted homebrews using a commemorative 2 oz pilsner glass exclusively engraved for the 1st Annual Cooper's Lake BrewersFest. Pre-registered brewers received a free BrewersFest t-shirt after brewing.
A day filled with brewing wouldn't be complete without a keg toss, dart tournament, food, music and a bonfire. Kids, women and men exercised their keg tossing techniques. People tested their dart skills in tournaments hosted by the Pittsburgh Dart Association (PDA). Bands provided music throughout the evening. The bonfire provided a place to relax, unwind and chat about brewing.
It was a wholesome day and we hope to see you next year!
